Job Title: Family Support Worker

The role of Family Support Worker is to provide a positive, life-changing experience for vulnerable young people through individual care, education and skills development focused on promoting their mental and emotional wellbeing and longer-term positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people to meet their needs, achieve their goals and build hope for their future.
  • Build trusting relationships with young people within a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the overall focus of the role is to promote the young person's mental and emotional wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Commitment to Children's Rights.
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Social Care or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
