Job Title: Cashier Team Member

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Cashier Team Member to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues alike

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Process store loyalty cards, coupons, and vouchers
  • Operate a computerised till system
  • Weigh and price products such as fruit and vegetables
  • Check customers' ages for restrictions on items such as alcohol
  • Take payments and ensure the till balances at the end of the day
  • Stock shelves and check stock levels
  • Maintain a high level of presentation standards within the department
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving processes
