About the Role

The position of Reinsurance Accounts – Team Lead is currently available in our finance team.

This role combines technical reinsurance expertise with responsibility for overseeing a team of analysts.

The successful candidate will either be a qualified accountant or a professional with significant technical accounts experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of four Reinsurance Accounts Analysts, reviewing their work and providing technical guidance.
  • Partner with the Accounts Manager on month-end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Monitor cedant accounts and settlements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Deliver reconciliations and technical input to strengthen reporting and financial controls.
  • Work alongside actuarial, compliance, and underwriting teams on key deliverables.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requirements and meet regulatory obligations.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' PQE in insurance/reinsurance, or audit of same.
  • OR minimum of 6 years' technical reinsurance accounting experience if not qualified.
  • Experience reviewing and supporting the work of junior staff.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues across multiple teams.
  • Strong systems knowledge with advanced Excel skills.
