Localization Engineer

The role involves managing activities associated with the technical aspects of project execution, focusing on managing the translation and localization lifecycle using CAT tools and associated tools. The successful candidate will join an existing team of Localization Engineers who take responsibility for the management of the Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tool and associated resources for the Language Services group.

The candidate will play a key role in supporting our Project Managers by assisting in preparing files for translation, automating processes, and developing tools and scripts for Production and external clients. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical skillset, customer-facing experience, and some project management exposure.

  • 5+ years of experience in the Language Services industry working with Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tools such as MemoQ, XTM, Trados, etc.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Localization Engineer experience.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages including Visual Basic, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Understanding of APIs and integrations.
  • Regular expressions and manipulating text.
  • Experience with localizing web applications and software and supporting translation projects.
  • Knowledge of markup languages including XML, HTML, XLIFF, etc.
