Job Summary

The Toolroom Assistant is responsible for supporting the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of all molds with the Toolroom team.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude skills, good verbal reasoning, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain injection molds to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the Toolmaker to troubleshoot mold problems.
  • Develop and implement improvement activities related to mould maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in training and advising new employees and apprentices regarding mould maintenance.
Requirements
  • Good verbal reasoning and numerate ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of a computer.

Working Conditions

Heavy-exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Must be able to stand/walk for periods of up to 3 hours.

Must be able to lift equipment and tools up to 20 kg up to ten times per day.

Must be able to climb safety step ladders up to five feet in height.
