Urology Nurse Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urology, you will provide expert clinical care, emotional support, education, and care coordination for patients with urological conditions.

Job Description:

The role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Urology involves providing specialist nursing care to patients with urological conditions. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients, including those with malignancies, and ensuring seamless patient pathways and timely interventions. This includes:

  • Acting as an autonomous practitioner and providing specialist nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Serving as a keyworker for patients, offering continuity and coordination throughout their treatment journey.
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure timely interventions.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma / Degree in Nursing
  • Full registration with the NMBI (NMBI Pin)
  • Full rights to work in Ireland without sponsorship
  • Post graduate course in Urology
  • At least 3.5 years post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Current or recent experience working in urology
