Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to children and families within the south Dublin region.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of an occupational therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities in the early intervention service.

Services are provided to children aged 0 – 18 years with physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay and autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To work as a senior member of the inter/trans-disciplinary team providing services to children and families within the south Dublin region.
  • To assess, plan, implement, and review occupational therapy intervention programs for children supported by the Children's Disability Network Team.
  • To attend and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated goal setting and support for children and their families.
  • To document all assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, and reports in accordance with professional standards.
  • To arrange and carry out duties in a timely manner within settings appropriate to service users and in line with service policy/guidelines.
  • To maintain quality standards of practice and participate in quality assurance and clinical audit as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Minimum of three years satisfactory post qualification experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full drivers License/Access to a car.
