Telecoms Network Engineer Leader

The role is an exciting opportunity for a strong telecoms engineering professional to lead our global telecoms core network team. This leadership position will involve working closely with a small group of engineers and contributing directly to technical delivery in a dynamic environment.

About the Role
  • This leadership position involves providing guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day management to a team of telecoms engineers.
  • You will oversee the development and maintenance of our global telecoms core network, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaboration with engineers to set goals and objectives is essential to ensure alignment with team and company targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and manage team workload using Kanban methodologies to optimize efficiency.
  • Validate third-party solutions and vendor performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of geo-redundant connectivity solutions to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Strong telecoms engineering background with leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in people management, including leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with core telecoms components: HSS, PGW, STP, DRA, PCRF, GMSC, SMSC.
  • Experience in core network design and implementation.
  • NOC experience preferred.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
