Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an Optical Assistant. The role involves eye photography, used to identify damage to the retina caused by complications of diabetes.

Experience is not essential, making this a great chance for someone looking to take a step into healthcare or develop their skillset in a professional environment.

You will be part of a national programme, working alongside senior diabetic retinal technicians and team leaders, with support from administration, programme managers, and clinical leads.

The role requires travel to and from health centres and clinic locations using a company vehicle.

  • Clean Irish driving license and own car are essential
  • A passion for customer care and positive patient outcomes
  • Being IT literate, word processing, spreadsheets, and regular use of Microsoft Office
  • Initiative, prioritizing tasks, problem-solving skills
  • A great work ethic and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
Required Skills & Qualifications
