Role Overview

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position located in Dublin and surrounding counties.

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Retinal Technicians team for a 12 month fixed term role. The successful candidate will be responsible for eye photography, identifying damage to the retina caused by complications of diabetes. Experience is not essential, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to enter the healthcare sector or develop their skills within it.

The role involves working alongside our senior diabetic retinal technicians and team leader, supported by an administration team, programme manager and clinical lead. Our team members are subject matter experts in retinopathy, providing ongoing support to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform eye photography to identify damage to the retina caused by complications of diabetes
  • Work closely with the senior diabetic retinal technicians and team leader
  • Collaborate with the administration team, programme manager and clinical lead
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • No prior experience is necessary, however a passion for customer care and positive patient outcomes is essential
  • A clean Irish driving license and own car is mandatory
  • Proficiency in IT, including word processing, spreadsheets and regular use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and utilise problem-solving skills

Candidates must demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the EU, with documentary evidence required. A full, clean Irish driving licence is also essential.
