Job Role: Design Manager

The Design Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of apartment development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with site teams to oversee project setup, focusing on coordination of architectural and engineering information.
  • Coordinate utilities and services between mechanical/electrical engineers and utility providers.
  • Develop and maintain schedules of information requirements in line with contract programmes, and monitor progress.
  • Manage the technical submittal process for all project components, including tracking and reporting status against programme timelines.
  • Maintain procurement tracking schedules based on approved submittals and cost approvals.
  • Respond promptly to project queries and ensure proper documentation and resolution.
  • Support the project team in identifying and resolving design-related challenges.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience as a Design Manager on commercial, residential and apartment projects.
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Experience working with a main contractor is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
