Database Developer Job Description

The role of a Database Developer is to design, implement and optimize complex database systems. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining databases, ensuring data security and integrity.

A key aspect of this job is to work closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based database services such as AWS Redshift or Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., AWS Glue).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data pipelines.
  • Strong working knowledge of self-service BI tools like QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau.
