Electrical Engineering Supervisor Position Overview

This electrical engineering supervisor role is a leadership opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to oversee the electrical function in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and supervisory experience, with excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing the operations of the electrical function to ensure maximum efficiency from all plant equipment.

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Lead a team of electricians to achieve production goals and objectives, while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering functions to ensure seamless integration and effective problem-solving.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical trade principles, including PLC control programs and Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley programming and product experience.

They will also have previous supervisory or management experience, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing process enhancements.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Electrical trade qualification (e.g., apprenticeship or degree).
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
