Senior C/C++ Validation Engineer Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior C/C++ Validation Engineer to fill this challenging role in Cork. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop validation strategies and automated validation frameworks to ensure the highest standards of software quality.
  • Identify and document defects to prevent reoccurrence and improve overall system reliability.
  • Closely collaborate with software development and product teams to drive improvements and optimize software delivery processes.
  • Execute comprehensive tests, analyze results, and document findings to inform data-driven decision making.
  • Perform quality assurance, risk assessment, and collaboration with different product teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and departmental specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and methodologies to innovate approaches to protecting our technology and improving software quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in C/C++ programming languages is essential.
  • Experience in scripting with Shell, Perl, and/or Python is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in UNIX and/or LINUX platforms is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts, Data Structures, and algorithms is required.
  • Working knowledge of REST API principles and integrations is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of validation principles, methodologies, and regulations is crucial.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts is essential.
  • Detailed-oriented approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work is mandatory.
