Senior Planning Director

As a Senior Planning Director, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver a wide range of diverse projects while driving business growth. You will be required to drive the external focus for the team and develop a Business Development & Growth Strategy to realise the ambition to grow the Department's external revenue streams and client base.

The role will require effective leadership across multiple disciplines, strategic oversight, client credibility, and business development acumen to consolidate and expand market presence thus developing existing and new client relationships.

Our portfolio includes clients within the public and private sector and our multi-disciplinary teams assist our clients in all phases of a project – from developing business plans and strategic planning to selecting the right solution and through the execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop and execute a Business Development & Growth Strategy to increase the Department's revenue streams and client base.">
  • Build and nurture client relationships ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.">
  • Lead proposals and tender preparation positioning the consultancy competitively in the industry.">
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and professional forums.">
  • Previous experience and industry connections including client recognition in related sectors would be advantageous.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Extensive experience in a senior management role covering urban planning, transport planning, and infrastructure.">
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of identifying growth opportunities and securing new business in a multi-disciplinary nature.">
  • Effective leadership and communication skills with ability to lead specialist teams.">
  • Proven experience in successfully managing complex projects in an engineering consultancy or similar environment.">
  • Risk and quality management skills with ability to anticipate challenges and implement solutions.">
  • Degree in either urban planning, transport planning, or civil engineering.">
