The Role

We seek a skilled Communications Executive to contribute to the development and implementation of our internal and external communications strategies. This role reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and involves collaborating closely with senior leadership, HR, marketing, and other key stakeholders to boost employee engagement, enhance corporate messaging, and reinforce our brand.

This position demands a creative and resourceful individual with exceptional writing and content creation abilities, adept at managing complex stakeholder relationships and navigating fast-paced environments. As the primary communications partner to Ardonagh Europe's leadership, you will help shape and convey critical messages that align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Strategies

  1. Design and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy to drive business results and boost employee satisfaction across Ardonagh Europe.
  2. Provide expert advice to senior leaders on messaging and communication best practices to ensure seamless alignment across the organization.
  3. Create compelling internal content, including executive updates, newsletters, company announcements, and employee storytelling initiatives.
  4. Coordinate and host key internal events such as town hall meetings, leadership briefings, and employee engagement activities.
  5. Support cultural initiatives, including diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being programs, by providing clear and impactful communication.
  6. Oversee internal communications responses during periods of change, mergers, or restructurings, ensuring timely, consistent, and clear messaging.

2. External Communications & Brand Management

  1. Serve as a brand custodian, ensuring all internal and external communications align with Ardonagh Europe's strategic vision and visual identity.
  2. Develop and maintain essential corporate messaging materials, including key presentations, fact sheets, and business overviews for internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Partner with Ardonagh Group's Communications team to synchronize messaging and branding across all markets and business units.
  4. Manage external corporate announcements, including M&A activity, in collaboration with the Group Communications team.
  5. Monitor and mitigate reputational risks, proactively addressing potential challenges to maintain a positive brand image.

3. Content Strategy & Digital Engagement

  1. Develop, manage, and oversee engaging content across internal platforms (e.g., intranet, newsletters, leadership messaging) and external channels (e.g., LinkedIn, corporate websites).
  2. Establish a proactive content calendar, ensuring a continuous flow of relevant and engaging communication for employees and external stakeholders.
  3. Support the rollout and adoption of internal communication tools, ensuring their effective use in engaging employees.
  4. Collaborate with the wider Ardonagh Group Communications team to share best practices and leverage group-wide initiatives.

4. Corporate Social Responsibility, ESG, & Events

  1. Contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives, ensuring effective communication and engagement across Ardonagh Europe.
  2. Collaborate with the Ardonagh Community Trust Manager to promote charitable activities and foster employee participation.
  3. Plan and organize corporate events, including leadership conferences, team engagement activities, and external networking opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or marketing within a multi-site, fast-paced organization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and content creation skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, with the ability to confidently advise senior leadership and collaborate across different teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using internal communications platforms and digital engagement tools, with a good understanding of best practices in employee engagement.
  • Strategic thinker, able to develop high-impact communication plans while also being hands-on in execution.
