The Role of Cafe Operations Manager
About the JobAs a cafe operations manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of our bustling cafe. This involves coordinating both front-of-house and kitchen operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
You will lead, train, and supervise a dynamic team, ensuring that exceptional customer service standards are consistently met. Key performance indicators (KPIs) include staff scheduling, performance, and development; inventory management; supplier relationships; sales targets; labour costs; and margins.
Maintenance of high standards in presentation, cleanliness, and service is paramount. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior management on promotions, product launches, and new initiatives, while also ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety regulations, and other relevant laws and guidelines.
Requirements- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a cafe or restaurant management role
- Strong background in customer service and team leadership
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Proven ability to manage budgets, stock, and staff rotas
- A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
