Finance & Governance Co-ordinator Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance & Governance Co-ordinator to support the financial operations and governance activities of our organisation.

This role will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our accounts, compliance processes, and financial reporting. It's ideal for a finance professional with experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and charity governance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate accounts using Sage 50
  2. Liaise with our Accountant on quarterly management accounts and event analysis
  3. Process payroll via Collsoft and manage RTD year-end Revenue submissions
  4. Process payments for tutors, orchestra and creditors
  5. Raise and issue invoices; reconcile income and credit card transactions
  6. Submit VAT Non-Resident returns and ensure Revenue compliance
  7. Support annual audits and ensure year-end accounts are submitted by ARD
  8. Maintain financial records and ensure updates to financial procedures and GDPR compliance
Governance & Compliance
  1. Work with the Company Secretary to support good governance practices
  2. Maintain and update statutory registers (Board and Members)
  3. Ensure compliance with obligations to the CRA (Charities Regulator), CRO (Companies Registration Office), and RBO (Register of Beneficial Owners)
  4. Assist in preparing Board packs and recording accurate Board minutes
  5. Help update governance policies and support Board-related documentation
Additional Responsibilities
  • Attend occasional evening/weekend concerts (time in lieu provided)
  • Contribute to team projects and cross-functional activities as needed

Financial management requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills. If you have experience working with accounting software, managing finances, and maintaining accurate records, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. In addition to your technical skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience and proficiency in Sage 50, Collsoft Payroll, Revenue ROS, and VAT systems. A relevant third-level qualification is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals who are comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
