Job Overview

This role entails overseeing various projects in the Midlands region, encompassing educational and healthcare initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing contracts for public works, coupled with a profound understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include project management, contract oversight, budgeting and cost control, scheduling and coordination, quality assurance, health and safety compliance, stakeholder communication, and team leadership.

The successful candidate will have obtained a bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field and accumulated at least six years of experience in construction management in Ireland.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite are also required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of multiple projects, from inception to completion.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage all contract aspects, including negotiations, terms, risk assessment, and contract compliance.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost-control measures to meet financial objectives.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely progress by coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce high standards of quality across all projects, ensuring all work adheres to relevant specifications, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Foster a culture of safety across all sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations regarding project milestones and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance environment.
