Job Title: Experienced Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an experienced construction estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and collating accurate, detailed, and timely tenders for construction projects.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, mathematical, and general IT skills, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing tender documents, including drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and other information to secure profitable work orders.
  2. Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations, analysing information for ambiguity, risk, and qualification, and seeking clarification where necessary.
  3. Turning specifications and tender information into quotations, ensuring that tender documents are correct and technically accurate.
  4. Attending site visits and client briefings, working closely with clients and colleagues to review tenders and handovers.
  5. Finalising all tender bids and attending pre-order meetings to secure contracts and hand over to Project Managers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Estimator or Electrical Engineer performing an Estimator role with a well-established contractor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
