Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.

  • This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of health and safety regulations.
About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture within our organization, ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing expert guidance on health and safety matters to operational teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing effective health and safety initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and managing risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on health and safety matters to operational teams.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, training, and behavioral safety initiatives.
  • Oversee site-based audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Support the development of Business Continuity and Risk Management plans.
  • Manage local documentation systems and procedures.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents, conducting root cause analysis and driving preventative actions.
  • Maintain and update risk registers at both operational and strategic levels.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports, tracking KPIs and LTIR metrics.
Requirements:
  • Diploma-level qualification or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Chartered or Graduate Membership of IOSH (or working towards).
  • Proven experience in a senior health and safety role, ideally within Hard FM/M&E environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and food safety management systems.
  • Experience working within high-profile, regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing safety and quality systems at scale.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement across multiple levels of an organization.
