We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to maintaining the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and improve Environmental Health and Safety standards throughout the plant in a dynamic business environment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring statutory Employment and EHS legislation compliance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems and procedures to optimize safety, health, and environmental performance.
- Implement effective contractor management systems and monitor contractor safety performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Internal Auditor certification for ISO and ISO required.
- Experience with Global EHS Management and Technical Standards, ISO, and other external regulations necessary.
- Liaise with Managers to ensure employees are trained on applicable EHS policies and procedures.
- Perform risk assessments and oversee training on risk assessments.
