Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working on plant maintenance and large-scale plant improvement projects.
- This includes working as part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team, responsible for a specific plant process area, and ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance is completed.
- You will also plan major shutdowns/overhauls, manage contractors on specific jobs/projects, and improve plant availability, troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.
- Additionally, you will continuously improve safety and environmental standards, scope projects that increase returns to the business, construct and install new projects, and commission and hand over.
- The successful candidate should possess:
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in heavy industry.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven technical skills and strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office, Autocad).
- Strong attention to detail and capable of working independently whilst meeting project deadlines.
- A work history of contributing and adding value to the overall performance of a previous employer(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is completed
- Plan major shutdowns/overhauls
- Manage contractors on specific jobs/projects
- Improve plant availability, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance issues
Qualifications
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
