We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager I to lead our team of nursing professionals in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing interventional cardiology procedures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing patient care according to BSHS standards, in conjunction with the CNMII. They will ensure the highest standards of patient care are delivered safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities include overseeing operational and clinical activities within designated areas, ensuring smooth workflows. The ideal candidate will also support and mentor nursing staff through in-service training and professional development, coordinate the orientation of new staff, and provide guidance to student nurses.

In addition, they will maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in surgical care, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.

Requirements
  • A registered nurse on the active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland register
  • Postgraduate qualification in Cardiovascular Nursing, Interventional Cardiology, or related field (desirable)
  • Management qualification (desirable)
  • A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, with at least 2 years' experience in the specialty of Cardiology
  • Excellent clinical, managerial, and administrative skills
