Job Opportunity

The Lead Respite Manager will oversee the daily operations of a new disability respite house located in Johnstown, Co. Kildare.

This role involves managing the day-to-day running of the Respite centre for both children and adults.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and service standards.
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for the safe, effective operation of the service.
  • Implement policies to safeguard residents and address any concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Oversee and review individual support plans, ensuring they are person-centred and goal focused.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff, maintaining appropriate staffing levels and skills mix.
  • Identify and manage risks to residents, staff, and the environment through ongoing assessment.
  • Report weekly to management with updates on all tasks and any issues noticed.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within health or social care.
  • Relevant degree (minimum Level 8) in Social Care or a related field.
  • Management qualification is desirable.
