A seasoned electrical engineer is required to join a product development team in Galway for an initial 12-month contract.

As a senior product engineer, you will provide support in decomposing and developing electrical-based product requirements from system-based requirements.


THE ROLE:

Integrate electrical design into risk management processes, including DFMEA development.

Conduct reviews of electrical design outputs and characterization results.

Ensure integration between electrical hardware and firmware.

Apply best practice electrical design techniques in areas such as PCBA design, FPGA, motor controls, and custom battery design to ensure design partners meet product needs.

Work closely with other design teams to root cause design issues, create test suites, characterize, and ultimately verify electrical product designs.

Characterize and analyze product performance using design for six sigma (DFSS) techniques.

Validate test environments comprising custom equipment, software, and test methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and testing devices in a global regulated environment
  • Developing and debugging analog and digital circuitry, custom batteries, and motor/motion control systems
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
