Job Overview

Applegreen is seeking a strategic Marketing Manager for a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Own stakeholder relationships and lead communications with senior leadership.
  • Deliver a calendar of marketing campaigns in collaboration with the brand manager.
  • Ensure campaign messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage campaign budgets and ensure delivery within financial targets.
  • Lead research initiatives, including annual brand tracking and customer segmentation.
  • Support the head of marketing with budget oversight and team leadership.
  • Manage and mentor marketing team members, including hiring support and performance development.
  • Support with the relationship management of Applegreen's brand partners.
  • Represent the marketing team in cross-functional groups (HR, Ops, Trading, Food).

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing management or marketing, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and marketing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in marketing strategy and campaign management.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead cross-functional initiatives.
