Preschool Nurse Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced preschool nurse to join our team in Carlow/Kilkenny Children's Service.

Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to work as a member of the team providing preschool and home support services within the Kilkenny/Carlow CHO5 area. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an environment that promotes each child's participation and independence, and will provide leadership and supervision to all support staff.

  • Develop and implement individual care plans for each child in partnership with parents and carers;
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of each child's health and medical needs;
  • Provide clinical and care support services across multiple locations;
  • Liaise with health care professionals and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care;
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require a recognised validated University Degree or equivalent qualification in Intellectual Disability/General or Children's Nursing, and registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI]. You must also have a Full Driver's Licence and access to your own transport, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
