Project Engineer Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead our project delivery team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong understanding of electrical project management principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project delivery team to deliver projects from conception to completion
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that quotations meet project specifications
  • Prepare technical documentation, submissions, and client reports
  • Coordinate site works, including sub-contractors and internal teams
  • Develop Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Quality Control procedures
  • Ensure site safety compliance with HSA regulations
  • Supervise on-site works and attend audits and client meetings
  • Manage project costs, change orders, and documentation
  • Compile O&M manuals and maintain full contract control

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years' experience in an Electrical Project Engineering role
  • Trade-qualified electricians with project experience also encouraged to apply
  • Water/wastewater industry experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong AutoCAD capability to revise and coordinate technical drawings
  • Experience in plant design, commissioning, and managing contractors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible, practical, and proactive approach with strong commercial acumen
