Job Overview:

The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing projects, providing strategic guidance and working independently. This position requires expertise in project management and leadership, with a focus on running projects and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with stakeholders who are not direct reports. Experience with construction and/or process equipment specification/qualification is also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project management and delivery
  • Prioritization of tasks and resources
  • Status management and communication
  • External communication through the Engineering Project Delivery Process

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Project Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, manage expectations, communicate project progress and challenges, and develop and review engineering technical specifications and bid documents.

This role also requires strategic solution-seeking to address complex project phasing and execution issues. The Project Manager will be responsible for their portfolio of projects from concept to operation, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes.

To succeed in this challenging role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant experience, typically 5+ years of project management/engineering experience, preferably in the biotechnology industry/aseptic pharmaceutical environment. Proven project management experience from project inception through to handover is highly desirable.
