Job Summary:

A skilled electrician with experience in high voltage systems is required to work on various electrical projects. The ideal candidate will be able to locate and identify underground cables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across all voltage levels: High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV)
  • Construct, maintain, and repair HV and MV substations
  • Operate HV, MV, and LV systems safely and competently
  • Perform work on live equipment in accordance with safety protocols
  • Climb poles and masts as part of overhead line work
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and skills to perform duties safely and effectively
  • Adhere to all safety initiatives, policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Interpret job drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and complete tasks efficiently and independently
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to change

Requirements:

  • QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualifications recognised by SOLAS
  • Full clean, Category B, Driving Licence
  • Ability to locate and identify underground cables
  • Safe Pass certification
  • Manual Handling and Basic First Aid training
  • Relevant work approvals
