Job Title: Health and Safety Expert - Risk Management Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety professional to lead our team in implementing robust risk management strategies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and national regulations while driving continuous improvement in safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs to mitigate potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, analyzing root causes and providing actionable recommendations for prevention.
  • Liaise with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and seamless implementation of safety measures.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of the latest health and safety legislation and industry trends, advising senior management on necessary changes and updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably within the construction or civil engineering sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations in Ireland.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills, proficient in Office/Office365 environment.
