Senior Accountant Role

The Senior Accountant is a key position within our client's organization.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Accountant to join our client's firm in Dublin. The successful candidate will have strong technical auditing and accounting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and drive the implementation of new accounting technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing accountancy services to a bureau of clients, including preparation of management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Assisting clients with systems of financial control and company secretarial compliance.
  • Guide clients in change management processes, from current practices to the adoption of best practice, using technology for greater efficiencies and growth.
  • Becoming proficient in various accounting software programs, including Surf, Receipt Bank, QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero.
  • Driving the firm's accounting technology strategy to best serve clients and project managing the roll out of new accounting solutions.
  • Completing ad-hoc internal admin duties, such as timesheets and invoicing.

About You:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Minimum 4 years' relevant post-qualified work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of ISAs and accounting standards FRS100 to FRS102.
  • Proven management skills and behaviours.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software packages, such as Relate, Surf, or similar, with a high aptitude and interest in using new software.
  • Client-oriented with initiative, enthusiasm, and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion.
  • Excellent organisational skills, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making when necessary.
