Key Data Architect Role

We are seeking an experienced data architect to join our growing team and play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimising the data systems that power analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence capabilities.

Responsibilities:

As a data architect, you will work cross-functionally with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the data environment is robust, efficient, and scalable.

  • Design and implement data systems that meet the evolving needs of our organisation.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to develop and maintain data pipelines and architectures.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years' experience as a data architect, data engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong background in data modelling, database design, and big data technologies.
  • Proficiency in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), SQL/NoSQL databases, and ETL tools.
  • Experience with data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and data lakes.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, security, and privacy practices.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Desirable Skills:

While not essential, experience with real-time data processing (e.g. Kafka, Spark) and knowledge of machine learning data workflows would be beneficial.
