Senior Accountant Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing technology company as a Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the corporate accounting team in various areas, including payroll and employee compensation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in recording journal entries relating to payroll and other employee compensation and benefits.
  • Analyze and prepare worldwide journal entries for month-end and quarter-end close in accordance with general corporate accounting processes.
  • Prepare detailed account reconciliations, obtain corresponding support to verify accuracy of the actual financial results, and resolve any reconciling items timely.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis to ensure resulting financial statement results accurately reflect business activity and are in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Analysis and providing fluctuation explanations for employee compensation related accounts as part of the monthly financial close process.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for related compensation accruals.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4-5+ years of progressive experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm or a combination of Big 4 and industry experience preferred, with exposure to a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with the operations and related accounting for payroll, and stock based compensation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles as well as SOX and internal controls.
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
