Senior Water Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Project Coordinator to lead the design and coordination of water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and project timelines.

Your primary focus will be on managing the design process for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities. You will also coordinate internal and external design teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, Irish Water standards, and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will prepare and review technical designs, drawings, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and constructability. You will liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to integrate design and construction activities. Additionally, you will conduct design risk assessments, ensuring all health, safety, and environmental considerations are met.

You will manage project design schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time project delivery. Your strong stakeholder relationships with clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies will be essential in maintaining open communication and resolving any issues that may arise.

To succeed in this position, you must have a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years' experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design and project management is required. Proven experience delivering projects in line with Irish Water or similar utility standards is essential. You should have strong knowledge of design software and tools such as Auto CAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent.

A strong background in project management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement is critical. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role. We are looking for an individual who can effectively lead multidisciplinary teams and navigate complex project environments.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design and project management
  • Proven experience delivering projects in line with Irish Water or similar utility standards
  • Strong knowledge of design software and tools (Auto CAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
