About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products listed on the B&Q marketplace are compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements.

This involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure that B&Q meets its legal obligations as an online marketplace.

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of consumer-focused legislation, such as product safety and claims.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements for selected product categories.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with the wider marketplace team across the Group.
  3. Incident Management: Investigate and resolve issues arising from customer complaints, reviews, and interactions with verified sellers.
  4. Process Enhancement: Contribute to the development of documented processes and procedures.
  5. Collaboration: Work with the Legal Compliance Manager on ad-hoc matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a product compliance role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good IT skills, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
