We are currently seeking a Senior Grade Psychologist to join our team, contributing to the development of our services and supporting our staff in their roles.

Role Overview:

This permanent full-time position involves providing expert psychological services to adults with intellectual disabilities across North Kildare and West Dublin. As part of our psychology department, you will work closely with other professionals to design and implement evidence-based interventions, ensure person-centered care, and promote the well-being of our service-users.

Key responsibilities include developing and delivering training programs for staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design individualized plans, and maintaining accurate records of client interactions and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert psychological services to adults with intellectual disabilities, including assessments, interventions, and support.
  • Developing and delivering training programs for staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge in areas such as positive behavior support, psychometric assessments, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized plans, promoting the overall well-being of our service-users.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in psychology from a recognized institution, with honors in the subject area, and an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland, or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
  • A minimum of 5 years of satisfactory post-graduate experience in professional psychology, with at least 2 years spent in post-qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with adults with intellectual disabilities, particularly those experiencing challenges related to mental health and wellbeing, dementia, and behaviors of concern.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fulfillment of all necessary qualifications, certifications, and registration requirements to practice as a psychologist in Ireland.
