Job Opportunity: Microbiologist

Overview

This role is critical to ensuring the efficient operation of our Quality Control laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities for general lab readiness, equipment qualification, and method transfers.
  • Carry out routine microbiological analytical techniques, including environmental monitoring, water testing, growth promotion testing, in-process product testing, and final product testing.
  • Integrate and complete all documentation on time and be familiar with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Train and be trained in the use of Rapid microbiology techniques, including endotoxin testing, water bioburden testing, and identification testing.
  • Follow up-to-date analytical practices with reference to pharmacopoeias, specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and write protocols as required.
  • Schedule laboratory testing to achieve an efficient quality control system.
  • Manage samples for stability, in-process, and release testing.
  • Reagent preparation, cleaning, and routine equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) within the laboratory.
  • Calibrate and maintain all designated laboratory instruments.
  • Participate in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Evaluate training needs and ensure current training for all job functions performed.
  • Assist in training new analysts on routine procedures and practices.
  • Order, stock, and receive laboratory supplies.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs, specifications, and cGMP regulations.
  • Deliver area performance to meet or exceed performance or quality goals.
  • Promote and participate in safety programs.
  • Participate in Quality Management System requirements.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement by deploying Six Sigma tools.
