Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled and safety-focused driver to operate a Class D public service vehicle along scheduled routes. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be flexible with working hours, and possess the necessary qualifications and training.

  • Safely Operate a Vehicle:

    The selected candidate will be responsible for safely operating a Class D public service vehicle along scheduled routes. This includes adapting to a rotating shift schedule, which may include early, late, split, and night/weekend shifts.

  • Customer Service:

    The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service by assisting passengers and handling queries professionally. They will also maintain compliance with health, safety, transport regulations, and required documentation, including tachograph, CPC, and logbooks.

  • Shift Pattern:

    The rotatory shift schedule is likely on a multi-week rota, covering early starts, late finishes, night shifts, and split shifts. The shift system operates on an Early/Middle/Late basis, with early shifts ranging from 04:35 to 09:59, middle shifts from 10:00 to 13:59, and late shifts starting at 14:00.

  • Qualifications & Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will hold a full, clean Irish Class D driving licence, possess a digital Tachograph card, and hold a valid Driver CPC for public service vehicles. They will also exhibit excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as be flexible to work unsocial hours, weekends, nights, and public holidays.

  • Training & On-boarding:

    The selected candidate will complete a comprehensive 3-week training program, which includes route familiarisation, customer care and safety protocols, and Tachograph and CPC training, possibly offered in-house.
