Occupational Health Nurse Position

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated nurse to provide high-quality occupational health services in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our clients.

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on workplace health issues, conducting health assessments, and developing strategies to promote employee well-being.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Be registered in the general division of the live Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing & Midwifery Board Ireland.
  • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Have certification of an approved Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Course within the last two years Irish Heart Foundation (IHF)).
  • Have evidence of Initial National Anaphylaxis Education Programme for Health Care Professionals accessible online followed by a two hour classroom based skills workshop. Recertification is required every two years by completing the online National Anaphylaxis Education Programme for Health Care Professionals accessible online.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team in a busy Occupational Health department.
  • Good IT skills/Administrative knowledge.
  • Phlebotomy and Vaccination administration competency essential for this role.
  • Basic knowledge of health screening, surveillance and Pre Employment medicals desirable.
  • Manage Occupational Health records in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Practice in line with the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses 2025, NMBI.
