Speech and Language Therapist Role

The Speech and Language Therapy department in Naas General Hospital provides an evidence-based service to adults across all acute services.

This role involves assessing, diagnosing and treating communication and swallowing difficulties of adults across the inpatient acute medical wards.

We have a strong emphasis on supervision and mentorship in the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat communication and swallowing difficulties of adults
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Required Qualifications and Skills

Interested candidates will have:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy with CORU registration
  • Dysphagia qualification and experience
  • Minimum 3 years post graduate experience, including work in an acute setting

There is consistent provision of Videofluoroscopy and FEES in the department.
