This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to residents. The Person in Charge will be accountable for leading a team of staff, managing resources, and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the delivery of high-quality care and support services to residents.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children or adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting.
- A social care worker or nursing qualification.
- Proven managerial skills, with a minimum of 3 years' experience at management level and an appropriate management qualification.
- The ability to lead a staff team effectively and make evidence-based decisions.
- Experience of managing residential budgets and allocating resources effectively.
- A detailed knowledge of HIQA regulations and standards.
