Pharmacy Technician

The role of a Pharmacy Technician is to support the Managing Pharmacist in a busy dispensary environment, maintaining high ethical standards and delivering excellent customer care.

This position involves accurately receiving, recording and assembling prescriptions, issuing receipts and informing Pharmacists of changes in drug therapy and interactions between medications.

Responsibilities include serving customers over the counter medicines and other pharmacy products as required, fulfilling requests for specific over the counter medicines using WWHAM questioning and recommending suitable alternatives referring to the Pharmacist where necessary.

Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain the smooth running of the dispensary, including computer records and ensuring paperwork is up to date and in line with company procedures.

To excel in this position, the ideal candidate will possess an IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies qualification.

  • Key Duties:
