Experienced Fishmonger Role

Our business is seeking a highly skilled and motivated fishmonger to join our team in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate de-scaling, removal of bones, gutting, cleaning, and filleting of fish using cutlery and powered equipment.
  • Portion and prepare fish & seafood, ensuring the availability of a wide range of quality products.
  • Demonstrate energy and passion for every sale, exploring every opportunity to satisfy customer needs.
  • Guarantee that fish is stored correctly at all times and conduct temperature checks on the product, recording data in line with food safety standards.
  • Select products to meet customer requirements, highlighting facts & benefits of the product to increase sales.
About You:

We are looking for individuals with previous experience working in fast-paced sales environments or kitchens. You should have a great knowledge of margins, discounts, waste, and shrink to ensure the business maximises profit from every sale. You should also be aware of the latest trends in the market and what direct competitors are offering.

  • Excellent merchandising skills and product offering to maintain freshness and customer appeal.
  • Teamwork, leadership, energetic and proactive personality when approaching customers.
  • Great communication skills to confidently communicate the story of the product to customers through exceptional product knowledge.
