Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of finished products within a manufacturing facility.
This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving within the production environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure product specifications and customer satisfaction are maintained while collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.
- Address non-conformances, coordinate with suppliers, and participate in audits.
- Train and competency-check personnel, handle non-conformances, and support health & safety initiatives.
- Guarantee food safety and quality of finished products meet agreed-upon product specifications.
- Complete accurate records on shift and ensure plant hygiene meets departmental requirements.
- Clean the plant to the correct standard after scheduled cleaning by performing visual checks, ATP swabbing, and micro swabbing.
Skill Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science / Science / Quality / Nutritional disciplines.
- HACCP Trained (desirable).
- 1+ years' experience in Technical / Quality Assurance / Manufacturing / Laboratory role ideally dairy, however food or beverage may be considered.
- Working knowledge of BRC (or equivalent) and retail standards in a production facility is desirable.
- Ability to work well individually and integrate well with the operations team.
- IT literate with strong Word, Excel, and database skills.
