Job Title

The Department Head of Operations plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations across various products and territories worldwide. This includes overseeing ex-factory sales flows, transfer pricing, sales and marketing, R&D costs, and royalty payments.

This is a strategic leadership position that requires partnership with the Head of International Business to drive departmental strategy and portfolio growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting updates and decisions to the Board of Directors and Executive Management, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and legal policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive departmental strategy and portfolio growth
  • Governance & Representation: Present updates and decisions to the Board of Directors and Executive Management
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong global relationships with Franchise/Brand Directors, Finance, Asset Maximisation Teams, and external partners
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with commercial, development, supply chain, and tax teams to align activities with broader business objectives

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an accounting environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with some knowledge of intellectual property. Expertise in utilising a SAP platform, or similar ERP System, with knowledge of SAP FI/CO, PP, SD, and MM modules is preferable. A good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages, including MS Powerpoint, Word, and particularly Excel, is also required. Education: Degree qualified, Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) with at least 10 years PQE.
