Specialist Educator for Children with Autism

The position of Specialist Educator for children with Autism involves delivering tailored educational programs to promote learning and development in a supportive environment.

The primary objective is to develop and implement Individual Education plans that cater to the unique needs of each child, ensuring their optimal growth and progress. To achieve this goal, the educator will work closely with the teaching team to provide early intervention education and promote effective communication among children.

As part of the role, the educator will be required to engage in play and interactive activities with the children, support the teacher in daily class operations, and track progress through data capture. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip the educator with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this position.

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Montessori Education, Primary Education, Early Childcare and Education, Social Care, Psychology, or Arts is essential.
  • Experience working with children or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience is highly desirable.
  • Eligibility to register with the Teaching Council of Ireland under the Further Education Section is mandatory.

  • Provide targeted interventions to support children in reaching their long-term goals.
  • Engage in play-based activities and interact with children to promote socialization and emotional development.
  • Support the teaching team in managing classroom operations and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record progress, utilizing data to inform instructional decisions and optimize outcomes.
