Commercial Underwriting Director

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a commercial underwriting team, including staff management, training, and appraisal. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a team of underwriters to achieve business objectives.
  • Train and mentor junior underwriters in commercial insurance principles and practices.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales and performance metrics.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or underwriting management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
