Job Description

Role Overview

The role of Senior Platform Architect is to design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our organization. This involves generating high-level system requirements, ensuring consistency, completeness, correctness, and operational definition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generating requirements with other architects, engineers, application teams, and users to ensure all high-level requirements are met.
  • Producing products such as Technical Architecture Documents (TADs), technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep stakeholders up-to-date and in agreement on the application or platform being provided.
  • Ensuring all architectural products and those with architectural input remain current and do not become obsolete.
  • Resolving internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.
  • Researching and evaluating new technology for possible deployment in MasterCard's internet infrastructure.
  • Assuming lead accountability for ongoing regional projects, including planning, time and cost control, resource utilization, and implementation.
Requirements

Thorough knowledge and understanding of network, operating system principles, and web middleware are required. A high degree of initiative and self-motivation, along with strong communication, relationship, and collaborative skills, are necessary for success in this role. Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities are critical.
